Online Piano to Organ
Transition Lessons

The piano is your passion, but finding steady work as a performer can be difficult.  What if you had a reliable weekly "gig?"  Many churches are desperate to find organists and, with guidance from an experienced organ teacher, you can learn the skills necessary to find part-time or even full-time employment as a church musician.  Our experienced teachers understand the similarities and differences between piano and organ technique and will help guide you to play the organ idiomatically.

Flexibility & Technique

At the Sacred Music Institute of America, our organ teachers are skilled in transitioning musicians from the piano to the organ for employment in church positions. It can be an exciting journey, and a student already familiar with piano techniques will find that many skills are directly transferable.  Playing the organ opens up a whole world of new tonal colors to a pianist as well as a treasury of repertoire both with and without pedals. See how our Online Organ Lessons are an integral part of our certification tracks.

Mentoring

Mentoring to the musicians and their parish’s specific needs is at the root of our mission here at the Sacred Music Institute of America, and this is incorporated into all our online lessons. This innovative one-on-one approach sets us apart from everyone else and allows you, the student, to get the most out of this program.
